G2 CAR ANTICONGELANTS are liquid products based on monoethylene glycol. The glycol used has a high boiling point (something like 170 or 190 degrees) and is fully miscible in water in such a way that it lowers the melting point of water (a 25 – 35 % mixture has a freezing point of about 15-20 degrees below zero) and raises the boiling point, plus or minus five to seven degrees above 100 degrees C. This means that, when hot, the formation of vapor bubbles on the extremely heated surfaces is reduced, thus maintaining direct liquid – metal surface contact.
