That is who has been able to find it in the last 365 days, which, admittedly, have not been very easy. Frown less<\/em> and make the best of bad weather<\/em>. Always the best you can. Say I love you more often<\/em> and also less often yes. Enjoy <\/em>the little things<\/em> as much as possible. Especially those, because the big ones sometimes take a little longer to arrive than desired… All these and some more can be very good resolutions to start 2023.<\/p>\n

It’s no secret, tidiness and cleanliness improve both physical and mental well-being. Just to give an example, according to the National Sleep Foundation in the United States, 75% of people sleep better and more soundly when their sheets are freshly laundered.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Then come the classics. Save more and spend a little less; quit smoking, that should always be the first; call family more and see friends more often; write a blog, plant a tree or simply read more; use your cell phone less; face your problems; stop daydreaming and make them come true; eat healthy and ask grandma for her recipes; do more sports and go to the gym, this year it is no longer enough just to be enrolled; learn a language (or better two); do not look for excuses and, above all, never again make a New Year’s resolution that you do not intend to fulfill…<\/p>\n

Oosouji: the millenary Japanese tradition of starting the year with cleaning<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There are many more, but, however, the one that will never be on the list, and should be a little cleaner and, of course, tidy. Although it may not seem so at first glance, it is never enough and it is not so rare. They know it even in Japan. There, instead of eating grapes on New Year’s Eve, what they do is take out the brooms, cloths, dusters and… clean up! It is no joke and, moreover, it has its explanation. It is what the Japanese call Oosouji. An ancient tradition whose goal is to receive the year without burdens, free, clean … And what better time to do it as soon as possible because in the end almost always happens the same. The resolutions remain just that and why wait any longer to clean and tidy the house; empty the closets of clothes that are no longer useful; throw away everything we no longer use or leave everything ready to start a new life?<\/p>\n

New year, new rituals and tricks for cleaning and disinfection <\/strong><\/h3>\n

There is no need to exaggerate so much and maybe it is something that can wait, at least a few more hours. Until January 1st, and while you’re at it, take the opportunity to pick up the confetti, streamers and the eggbeaters that are so typical of the last night of the year. In any case, total disorder when waking up the next day, and while listening to the Vienna concert in the background, may be the perfect time to start implementing one of the following resolutions. Nor is it necessary to fulfill them all at once, in one fell swoop. Step by step.<\/p>\n

Toilets; kitchen scourers and dishcloths; sinks; faucets, bathtubs, washing machine and refrigerator tires; toothbrushes and toothbrush cups; floors; cutting boards, technological devices and appliances; knobs and handles; and toys are the 10 places in the home with the highest number of germs.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

There are 12 months ahead, although it is best not to let too much time pass. The reproduction speed of germs and bacteria depends very much on the amount of nutrients they find, and in dirt and clutter they find everything they need. Little by little. Without haste, but without pause, because in reality, the key lies in constancy. It is well known that he who cleans a lot is not cleaner, but he who dirties little is cleaner. For this reason, clutter is invading the most exposed areas such as bathroom and kitchen shelves, living room bookshelves or desks. Tidying up books or removing notes and papers provides stability and mental well-being for the new year. In addition, its effect can be intensified by performing an odor cleaning. Undoubtedly, aroma is one of the main signs of identity of any space.<\/p>\n

(3.) Move furniture and appliances<\/strong>. Something that at first glance may seem a little scary, but is often rewarded. A prize in the form of an object that was thought to be lost behind the sofa or dresser in the bedroom. That, on the one hand, because on the other hand, there are a lot of people who have never cleaned the refrigerator and they bought it more than 10 years ago.<\/p>\n
