MECHANISM OF ACTION: The microbiocidal activity of quaternary ammonium compounds is explained by their cationic nature, which interferes with biological membranes, causing changes in their structure and permeability.

ADVANTAGES: stable to light, temperature or long storage time. Its agitated solutions give rise to the formation of foam, the product tending to be strongly absorbed and distributed over the surface where it is applied. This property is very useful in some applications, since it forms an antiseptic layer on the treated surface that protects for a long time.
